Your Time is a Commodity
At one time, you had a ‘life.’ You had passions, you spent time thinking, acting, and being true to yourself. Somewhere along the way you were lost. Now, you spend too much time at and on work, you don’t have any ‘real’ vacations. You’ve grown accustomed to spending so much time working - even in downtime - that important parts of your life are suffering. You’ve given up enough; it’s time to take the reigns of your life again!
So, What Are the Seven Barriers?
The 7 Barriers are a combination of factors that impact you internally and externally; how you think, feel, and act. The Barriers are a combination of things you can and cannot change. When you work through the 7 Barriers, you will recognize the Barriers, and how to change or respond to them appropriately.
What kind of exercises will we do?
Each exercise is designed to help you address specific challenges related to a Barrier. You’ll be identifying areas in which you negatively impact your work/life balance, you’ll be observing how other people and your organization(s) influence and impede your work/life balance, you’ll be clarifying your values and journaling about relevant topics. All directing you towards greater awareness and taking action.
Can you really change your work/life balance?
Through this series of teleclasses, you’ll first become aware of what work/life balance means to you, then you commit to change. You then design actions that work best with your challenges.

You'll begin with small changes, and build to a new way of work/life interaction that allows you to evaluate what is important to you - and teaches you what to do when things are not where you want them to be.
How Does It Work?
Every other Tuesday, you’ll join in a teleclass to help you learn the 7 Barriers to Work/Life Balance. You’ll identify and discuss the barriers that apply to you. Then, through discussions and exercises, you’ll finish the class with a concrete workplan for remediating your own unique work/life balance struggles and challenges.

- 6 hours of classes, spread over 4 90-minute sessions
